ART 1

Semester 1

Students develop skills in throwing on the wheel and hand-built vessel construction, as well as digital imaging. They produce a studio process to develop their own ideas relating to the theme of ‘Art of the Everyday’ and how they might interpret worldly concepts through a Christian worldview. Students incorporate the exploration and evaluation of artistic inspiration as well as the practice of materials and techniques in the production of artworks. The course also covers historical art styles such as Pop Art as well as exploring the work of specific Contemporary Australian Ceramic artists.

ART 2

Semester 2

Students develop skills in digital drawing and painting. They produce a studio process to develop their own ideas relating to a variety of themes and ways to create art. Students incorporate the exploration and evaluation of artistic inspiration as well as the practice of materials and techniques in the production of artworks. The course also covers historical art styles such as Surrealism as well as exploring the work of a variety of artists.
