ENGLISH FACULTY

The Year 7 English course involves students in reading, viewing, listening, writing, creating, presenting, comparing, researching and discussing a range of text types. Students are encouraged to explore the meaning of texts, form connections with characters, settings and themes and consider these in relation to their journey of faith. They are supported to develop an understanding of the way purpose, audience and situation influence the structures and features of language. Students create a range of imaginative, informative and persuasive types of texts, and are beginning to create literary analyses and transformations of texts.
