HUMANITIES - GEOGRAPHY
YEAR 7

The Year 7 Geography study consists of two topics: Water in the World and Place and Liveability.

Water in the World focuses on water as a renewable resource. Students examine the many uses of water, its different forms as a resource, its varying availability/scarcity, and the ways in which it connects to places.

In Place and Liveability students investigate the factors that influence liveability, such as: the idea that places provide us with the services and facilities needed to support and enhance our lives, and that spaces are planned and managed by people.

HUMANITIES - HISTORY
YEAR 7

Students begin a study of history with a focus on Egypt and India. The aim is to develop historical understanding through key concepts, to facilitate an understanding of the past and to provide a focus for historical inquiries. During the honing of their inquiry skills, they will develop an understanding of how ancient cultures have shaped our modern world. By studying the choices made by others in similar situations, we can see God’s response and see how His mighty omniscience in controlling the rise and fall of individuals, nations, and countries has made the world what it is today.
