DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES - SEMESTER 1
YEAR 8
In this unit the students will examine and create HTML files as web-pages, using NotePad++ to create their pages. Students will examine the structure of HTML code and identify elements required, find and fix errors and use a CSS file to change the appearance and structure of their webpages. They will also develop skills in language programming by using Python and developing skills in writing programs with increasing complexity.
DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES - SEMESTER 2
YEAR 8
In this unit, students will further develop their programming skills by learning to use Visual Basic for Applications. They will use Microsoft Excel for the creation of user-defined functions and the automation of specific computer processes and calculations. Students will also work collaboratively to Plan, Design and Create 3D printed items for a specific purpose.
