GERMAN

Students continue to build their communication skills as well as further develop their skills in the areas of listening, reading, writing and speaking. Topics covered throughout the semester are practical and relevant to student interest and include places around town, transport, Bavaria and Berlin. Students use formal and informal registers and discuss social issues and themes relevant to teenagers. The aim is for students to be able to converse and write on the above topics in simple German, becoming aware of more complex language structures. Through taking a lively interest in others as well as themselves, students are learning to “love one another as I have loved you.”
