MATHEMATICSÂ
YEAR 9
Students are expected to apply mathematical knowledge and techniques to solve problems in standard and unfamiliar situations. They are introduced to the functions of the CAS Ti-Nspire technology and use these in problem solving activities. Students obtain an appreciation of the wisdom of God and the perfection of His creation through making connections between mathematical concepts and the world around them. They achieve this through the study of Number Skills, Linear Equations and Relationships, Pythagoras' Theorem, Trigonometry and Measurement.
