SMALL FURNITURE

Semester 1

Technology and Design develops students' knowledge and confidence to analyse critically and respond creatively to the challenges of a highly technological and complex future. They learn to design, produce and evaluate innovative technological designed solutions. Through the practical application of technologies, students develop manual dexterity and coordination through hands-on activities. The subject engages and motivates young people and provides them with learning experiences to develop skills that are transferable to family and home.

MAKING FOR OTHERS

Semester 2

This course aims to involve the students in designing, making and evaluating a project for a young child from the East Timor. Students will learn about East Timorese people and their needs and work with increased independence as they develop their own solutions to design briefs. Design briefs will be centred on toys that young East Timorese children might like.
